Net zero workshop at Teesside University
Events
RECONSTRUCT project partner Teesside University is hosting an event on pathways to net zero in materials and methodologies.
On September 12th, a workshop entitled “Sustainable Practices and CO2 Sequestration: Pathways to Achieving Net Zero” will take place at Teesside University, one of the project partners of RECONSTRUCT.
During their interventions, Dr. Sergio Rodriguez, Organising Chair and Associate Professor of Research from the Centre for Construction Research and Innovation Lead, Dr. Farzad Rahimian, Professor of Digital Engineering at the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technologies, and RECONSTRUCT’s Coordinator Jose Lucas from Instituto de Tecnologia de la Construcció de Catalunya (ITEC) will discuss some key findings from RECONSTRUCT.
The workshop will provide a platform to share perspectives on, and solutions towards, a less carbon-intensive concrete-built environment, and a circular construction involving the entire supply chain. Synergies will emerge that can help meet RECONSTRUCT’s goal of developing low-carbon alternatives to Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) and incorporating Construction & Demolition Waste (CDW) and other waste as much as possible.
